Bear Rinehart, or as we all know him as - Wilder Woods, is kicking off a new era as he launches his new album "Curioso". Unveiling a pair of new singles "Hide Anymore" and "Devil In My Eyes", the man is proud to share his vision for the album, hitting the shelves in early 2025. Announcing an extensive North American tour slated this spring, you can expect the LP to arrive this February via Dualtone Records. Sharing a pair of new songs ahead of his third album's grand release, Wilder Woods is kicking off the CURIOSO era in full swing. Known for his soul, pop, and folk anthems, the man's honest and relatable tales have always struck the hearts of listeners around the world. From his work with Needtobreathe to his solo career, he stayed true to who he is. Now, he's got a curio cabinet of sorts that's making its way into song - packed with good 'ol memories with pieces of a sweet past.
Back in September, Wilder Woods released two singles - "Hide Anymore" and "Devil In My Eyes". With themes of looking back to how one might have wished life was, music serves as a medium to share these feelings and ease them out.
"Happy to have the first couple of songs from Curioso out in the world,” stated Rinehart. “Both of these songs are really about the tension I think we all feel between the way we wish the world was and the way it actually is. Maybe it’s naïve to think that music can actually help with that, but it does for me. Love y’all," he wrote.
In October, he released another teaser ahead of the LP's arrival, a new song "Time On My Hands" featuring My Morning Jacket's Jim James. The neo-soul track recalls life memories with a laid-back groove packed with guitars and keys to his smooth vocals.
"I think everybody has time. It’s up to all of us to determine how to use it," Rinehart shared about the track. "This song is about making it last longer. Huge honor for me to have one of my biggest artistic inspirations, Jim James on this track! It’s a vibe."
Lifting spirits up with his stomping rockin' songs and barn-burners, it's set to be an amazing follow-up to his previous record "FEVER / SKY". With a serious groove up his sleeve, the man's got a load of surprises on Curioso.
Inspired by her grandmother's curio cabinet, "It was a china cabinet where she'd store her keepsakes, like her first Bible, some porcelain dolls, and football memorabilia," Rinehart recalls, "As a kid, I always thought it was a strange thing to keep around...but now, I think a curio cabinet can tell you a lot about a person. I love the idea of collecting the pieces of your past, creating a little assortment of things that you really enjoy."
