Lead singer Tom Chaplin of Keane said: “I remember standing by that amazing old mixing desk at Heliocentric Studios where we made Hopes and Fears, listening to an early mix of Somewhere Only We Know.
“I had this feeling that we’d come up with something that had an extra bit of magic. Making music is so often a process full of doubt…but on this occasion there was something undeniable about what we’d created. Clearly a lot of people felt the same when the album came out!”
Released back in 2004, “Hope and Fears'' sold more than 2.5 million copies in the United Kingdom in its very first year, and an impressive million copies in the States. The certified 9x Platinum album featured the iconic single “Somewhere Only We Know.”

As their very first album “Hopes and Fears” turns 20, alt-rock band Keane is releasing a special remastered version on May 10, 2024, exactly two decades after its initial release. And now, you have the unique opportunity to be one of the first to celebrate this milestone firsthand!
Born in Battle, East Sussex, Keane is an all time favorite rock band comprised of Tim Rice-Oxley (composer and pianist), Tom Chaplin (lead vocals), Richard Hughes (drummer) and Jesse Quin (bassist). Formed in 1995, Keane has disrupted the music scene, globally.
By 2013, the English group had sold a staggering 12 millions albums across the world, and dropped 4 LPs, with each climbing to the coveted no.1 place in the UK charts! “Hopes and Fears” had also made a name for itself as one of the 40 best-selling albums of all time in the UK, and they had even hit the road in over 40 countries! And now they’re bringing a special remastered version of the nine-time platinum album to the states!

The Lathums and The Sherlocks will be supporting Keane at the Majestic Theatre in Downtown Dallas. While the Lathums are an English rock band from Wigan that won the hearts of Glastonbury in 2023, The Sherlocks are an indie band from South Yorkshire that hark back to the punk days of rock.
