The legendary country singer Jason Isbell is coming to the Majestic Theatre Dallas, and he’s bringing his talented band with him. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter has recently re-issued the band’s breakthrough album “Southeastern” and dropped their new 2023 album “Weathervanes”.
Famed for both solo work and collaborations, Jason Isbell has a successful career that has spanned decades. He’s not only worked alongside The 400 Unit, but has been a member of Drive-By Truckers from 2001 to 2007, and snagged not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 Grammy awards. AMAZING!
Exposed to music at a young age, Jason Isbell has cited inspiration from folk rock megastar Bob Dylan. Originating from Green Hill in Alabama, his lyrics focus on sobriety and love. The band’s eighth studio album called “Weathervanes,” looks at the dark heart of American culture from different outlooks, and features new elements of folk, rock and country.
Imagine dancing to his freshest material, re-released classics and tearjerkers including “Save The World” and “Cast Iron Skillet.” And what better venue to dance the night away than the Majestic Theatre Dallas?! Situated in Downtown Dallas, this live performance venue stands as the last remaining gem of Theater Row, providing the ideal backdrop for a truly unforgettable night.
Outside of music, vocalist Jason Isbell has appeared in the documentary “Jason Isbell: Running with Our Eyes Closed.” And that wasn’t his only stint on the silver screen, as he appeared in Martin Scorsese’s latest movie in 2023 “Killers of the Flower Moon,” alongside entertainment powerhouses Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, Jesse Plemons, Jack White, Sturgill Simpson as well as Syracuse University alumnus Pete Yorn. And there’s more! Jason Isbell was also featured in the TV series Squidbillies and Billions, as well as Daniel Minahan’s "Western Deadwood: The Movie".
So, it comes as no surprise that this event is in high demand! Don’t miss your opportunity to experience Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit live and up close. Expected to “bring the house down” (The Oregonian) yet again, this is a must-see concert.
