The Queens of Christmas are back with a brand-new show and Dallas is going to be one of the first cities that gets to experience it! That’s right, Jinkx & DeLa are going on tour again with another holiday show. They’ll be making a stop at Dallas’ Majestic Theater on Wednesday, November 20th. As they say themselves in the promos, if you saw last year’s show, you’ll still want to come out to the Majestic Theater in late November. This is a brand-new experience with two of America’s favorite drags.
An important thing to point out is that this show is for people 18 and older. This directive is heavily enforced in some theaters where Jinkx & DeLa showcase their Christmas special. This holiday show is one of the most anticipated by the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. Sure, it’s not for the easily offended, but if you come to the Majestic Theater understanding that it’s all in good fun, you can have a great time! Jinkx & DeLa have promised a brand new show for the 2024 season, so we don’t have a ton of details on what to expect. That’s actually a great thing because the best laughs happen when you’re completely caught off guard. There are, of course, some things that never change from year to year. That’s the attitude of Jinkx & BenDeLaCreme who are going to be like your drunk aunts who are looking to do something different for the holidays.
One of the best elements of previous years’ shows have always been the musical numbers. They may still bring out some of the classics, like “Parum PumPum.” It’s going to be interesting to see which elements they decide to keep. What is clear, though, is that if you want to watch the original show, you’re going to have to buy the recording because Jinkx & DeLa are committed to creating a new show every year. Of course, you can expect all of the characters to be in new costumes this year! We already got BenDeLaCreme dressed as a reindeer for the promos. That’s a big tease to what you may be able to see at the Majestic Theater in Dallas on November 20th. Come with an open mind, and you’ll be able to have a great time! Jinkx & DeLa and their entire crew prove year after year that they are amazing performers who know how to put on a show.
The entire Majestic Theater is going to be open on this night. If you want to live out a VIP experience, getting a seat in one of the boxes on the second level with a perfect view of the middle of the stage may be the place to be on November 20th. That would be like the cherry on top. In reality, the seats across the entire theater are super comfy.
