This year, she's plotted a slew of tour dates, marking a new chapter of Iliza LIVE! on the big stage. After college, Shlesinger moved to the bright & sunny Los Angeles to pursue her passion for stand-up comedy. Becoming one of the most popular members of a pack of stand-up comedians in LA, she found herself right at The Improv for NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2008. Winning the title for that season, she became the first female and also the youngest comedian to earn the prize. From then on, she became a world-renowned name in comedy, scoring various guest appearances on TV and co-hosting gigs for talk shows. In 2017, she hosted her very wn late-night show "Truth & Iliza" via Freeform.
On Netflix, she packs a whopping six stand-up specials on the platform. Millions of people have streamed her laugh-out content, and everyone can't get enough of the comedy veteran. Her specials include "War Paint" recorded in 2012, "Freezing Hot" in 2015, "Confirmed Kills" in 2016, "Elder Millennial" recorded in the USS Hornet in 2018, "Unveiled" in 2019, and "Iliza Shlesinger: Hot Forever" that premiered in October 2022.
Beyond the live stage, she's also a talented & witty writer. In 2017, she published a book, "Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity" featuring an introduction by the renowned Mayim Bialik. In 2022, her second book "All Things Aside: Absolutely Correct Opinions" came out.
On Prime Video, she just released her latest special "A Different Animal," diving deep into her journey of motherhood while dealing with "mom brain." From Gen Z's and Gen Alpha's unique quirks, she navigates wisdom with her sharp wit and animal noises on the side.
"I wanted to do something that was very me, but also my comedy has a little bit of force and aggression built into it," she told Los Angeles Times in an interview.
