Charlie Robison is a country singer and songwriter who masterfully blends rock and Texan-Mexican influences into his country music, blurring his style from its outlaw roots with other country subgenres. His entrance to the music scene was unexpected. A setback set him into a music career where he truly flourished. Since 1996, he has released nine albums, many spawned songs that became country classics. His music is among those considered to be once in a generation. That is why you should have a listen to his songs.

Charles Fitzgerald Robison was born in Houston, Texas, in 1964. Living on a ranch run by his family in the middle of nowhere in Houston, Robison was exposed to the local country scene in his community. His first inspirations were Black Sabbath, Gram Parsons, and Bruce Springsteen. He treated music as a hobby, but this changed when he lost a potential university scholarship. This led him to Austin, where he found bands he adored. Inspired, he began writing his songs, leaning towards a rock/country sound.

Live at Billy Bob's TexasBefore the 80s ended, he was already doing gigs with bands Chaparral, Millionaire Playboys, and Two Hoots and a Holler. After playing with bands for over a decade, he went solo in 1996. His debut album, "Bandera," was released that same year. This led to him getting signed with Sony. His sophomore, "Life of a Party," came out under the record label. This became his breakout hit with its song "My Hometown." On his third album "Unleashed Live," he worked with his brother, Bruce Robinson, and Jack Ingram. After his contract with Sony, Columbia Records took him. Following this was the "Step Right Up" album, released in 2001, which followed the success of his second album. Two years later, "Live" took off, prompting him to release another album the next year entitled "Good Times." He went on a five-year hiatus after. When he returned in 2009, it was with the release of "Beautiful Day." It became his second best-performing album released. His last records are Live at Billy Bob's Texas and High Life, which both came out in 2013.

The country star will perform at the Majestic Theatre Dallas on Friday, August 18. An extra special guest will come with him, the country-favorite Chris Knight. He has released timeless country songs like "Down the River," "Enough Rope," and "Undone." Don't miss this exciting concert. Hit the "Get Tickets" link to reserve yours now!
