The stage name of Roy Haylock, Bianca Del Rio is an American actor, drag queen, insult comedian, and costume designer, who came to fame when she won season six of Ru Paul's Drag Race in 2013 and became the first Hispanic Drag Race winner. Havelock first performed in drag in 1996 in the play Pageant, and he went on to be cast in several drag shows at the New Orleans nightclub Oz, where Bianca originated. Havelock won the New Orleans Gay Entertainer of the Year three times as Bianca. After Hurricane Katrina, Havelock moved to New York City, where Del Rio performed weekly sets at several NYC nightclubs, often with fellow drag performer Lady Bunny. In 2010, Del Rio was featured in gay.com's web series Queens of Drag. Since winning drag race, Bianca Del Rio has starred in two independent films (2013's Hurricane Bianca and its 2018 sequel Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate) and has has written and toured several stand-up shows, including The Rolodex of Hate (2014), Not Today Satan (2015–16), Blame It On Bianca Del Rio (2017–2018) and It's Jester Joke (2019).
