An Intimate Evening with Jagged Edge: 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak

Jagged Edge is celebrating a huge milestone this year. It’s the 25th anniversary of their sophomore album, J.E. Heartbreak, and in true Jagged Edge, they’re celebrating in style. The legendary R&B quartet has just announced the dates for An Evening With Jagged Edge: 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak. The North American tour kick starts on March 26 in Dallas, with a HUGE concert at the Majestic Theatre Dallas on Wednesday 26th March 2025. The four piece will then visit major cities across the U.S., including Atlanta, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C., before winding down on April 20 in Brooklyn. 

New Music 

This exciting news comes hot off the heels of their fresh new song “Just Might Get It.” Dropped on 17 January, the single is a taster of what’s on the horizon. Jagged Edge’s new record, All Original Parts Vol. 1, is set for release this Valentine’s Day. Speaking on their latest single, Jagged Edge’s Brian Casey says, “The beautiful thing about ‘Just Might Get It’ is how a single title can inspire entirely different perspectives. Brandon’s writing captures this perfectly. His take is telling the girl, ‘You keep asking for my time, and I’m giving it to you—now, what are you going to do with it? Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.’”

J.E. Heartbreak 

Jagged Edge issued J.E. Heartbreak on 18 January 2000, through SoSo Def and Columbia Records, and the music scene hasn’t been the same since!! This breakout record debuted at number 8 on the notorious Billboard 200, and boasted hit after hit. Mainly produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, the record included the huge singles “Promise,” “Let’s Get Married,” and “He Can’t Love You.” The Dupri-helmed “Promise” was such a hit that it peaked at the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for an impressive two weeks, and climbed into the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. This record was a huge success. One year after its release and J.E. Heartbreak was certified 2x platinum by the prestigious RIAA for selling more than a staggering two million copies. In fact, Jagged Edge’s sophomore effort remains their best-selling album so far. Of the album’s songs, “He Can’t Love U” clinched a gold RIAA award for selling a whopping 500,000 copies in just two months.
