Becoming mainstream and widely recognized in the early 1900s, Blues as a genre gained a significant audience that has withstood time, retaining a large number of enthusiasts even after over a century. Starting out his professional career when he was just 16, fans know the name Kenny Wayne Shepherd all too well by now. As one of the most tireless musicians since he was just a teenager, Sheperd was relentless in touring, which helped drive his debut album, ‘Ledbetter Heights’, to Platinum sales status. From that point forward, he went on to sell millions of albums worldwide, ten #1 blues albums, a collection of #1 mainstream rock singles, and several awards counting two Billboard Music Awards - all of which are included in a much longer list of musical achievements.

Bobby Rush, with over 70 years and counting under his belt, is also no stranger to the top spotlight, being a 3-time Grammy Legend, Blues Hall of Famer, and 18-time Blues Music award winner. Fans know that his life story inspires his music, with his records reflecting his personal growth over the years and his roots as an African-American. In his words, “You’ll find everything about me inside these songs – folk funk, traditional blues, ballads, love, a comedy and a real-talking”.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd released his second volume of ‘Dirt on My Diamonds’, while Bobby Rush has also recently debuted ‘All My Love for You’.

The pair will be appearing on June 6, 2025, in Dallas, Texas at the Majestic Theatre. As if made just for them, the Majestic Theatre is equally full of heritage and listed in America’s National Register of Historic Places. Since having been refurbished over the years since its construction, it still retains its classic architectural exterior while having upgraded interior facilities and décor.
